Manufacturers’ Association Hosts Sold-Out Golf Tourney

Erie, PA - August 2006

The Manufacturers’ Association of Northwest Pennsylvania recently held its eighth annual golf classic, with proceeds benefiting key education and scholarship programs including Pennsylvania Business Week, The Patrick R. Locco Memorial Scholarship Awards and the John P. Tramontano Jr. Education Fund. The event, which drew 148 participants from the Association’s 17-county membership region, took place August 10 at the Wanango Country Club in Reno, Pennsylvania.

“Through the generous support of our sponsors and member company participants, we are able to showcase a beautiful golf course and raise funds for three important educational programs that the Manufacturers’ Association strongly supports,” said Association Chairman J. David Bell, president of Erie DriveTrain.

Added Scott Hanaway, a Manufacturers’ Association Board member and president of Tech Tool & Mold Inc. and Tech Molded Plastics LP in Meadville, “The outing was truly well managed, and I think every detail was considered in advance. Even coordination with Mother Nature provided spectacular weather for the day. The course choice was awesome, and I look forward to next year’s choice, as I think that rotating locations in the NW region shows support for membership.”
