Doug has been involved in the family business his entire life, but officially began work at Tech in 1988. While working at Tech during the day, Doug took night classes and completed his Tooling Apprenticeship earning him his Journeyman Tool & Die Maker card in 1992. Since that time, Doug has further increased his expertise in the business by completing coursework in Project Management, Scientific Injection Molding, Plastic Injection Mold Processing, Mold Maintenance, Statistical Process Control, and management skills seminars. Doug thrives at troubleshooting injection mold plastic processes. He shares his knowledge and talent as a volunteer with the American’s for the Competitive Enterprise System program. (ACES) The program teaches senior high school students about the American economic system, as well as important business concepts and principles. Doug is a member of the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI).
Doug, his wife, Autumn, and their 2 boys are life-long residents of the Meadville area.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys friends, family and many sports, including swimming, hockey, hunting and motor cross racing. He enjoys riding custom choppers, dirt bikes, and construction projects of any kind. |
