BVQI Renewal and Upgrade Audit for ISO9001:2000 Report as received from the Third Party Administrator

On December 16-17, 2003, a Renewal and Upgrade Audit to the ISO 9001:2000 standard was conducted at Tech Tool & Mold. Inc/Tech Mold Plastics in Meadville, PA. The process consisted of a through sampling of your management system in which we looked for compliance to the Standard as well as compliance to your stated quality policy and procedures. In conducting the audit the current revisions of the Quality Operating Procedures (QOP) were used. Tech Tool does not have an overall revision of a Quality Manual, they use individual QOP’s and the revision level of all of these QOP’s was zero. Tech Tool elected to significantly revise their quality system to align with the new standard and took the opportunity to streamline and improve the quality system. It is now largely electronic and they are in-process of eliminating as many hard copy procedures as possible.

Management review documentation contained sufficient information and detail to show how you have established that your system is suitable, adequate, and effective. The Internal Audit system was found to be effective and appropriate to the size and type of your organization.

System strengths included:

• Very good audit system
• Improvements made by using JobBOSS Quality Tool Kit to control documents and records, preventive maintenance, audits, and incorporating these improvements into a streamlined quality system.
• Customer satisfaction survey which indicates exceeding customer expectations for on-time delivery, response to customer questions/concerns/problems, and effective calls by sales representatives.
• Several consecutive years awarded Pennsylvania's Top 100 Places Awards which indicates a high level of support and involvement by the workforce.
