Mr. Cody Paul was appointed as the Lean Operations Coordinator for Tech Tool & Mold, Inc. and Tech Molded Plastics. The appointment further emphasizes Tech's commitment to streamlining operations, continuous improvement and customer focused services. Lean training and personnel development courses for a Lean focused facility were provided in 2003 by Northwest Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center and the Manufacturer's Association. The year long training and development programs included toolroom, plastics and administrative personnel throughout the organization. Goals of the Lean Coordinator position include: in-depth audit of workplace organization and standardization, 5S sustainment activities, set-up reduction practices, point of use storage, line supply and maintaining a customer focused value stream.
