More than Perfect in Skills Contest
Meadville, PA - November 2003
Tech's Adam Deeter is better than perfect in tool and die regional skills contest. Adam, a fourth-year apprentice at Tech, scored more than perfect in the Northwestern PA chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association's 31st annual regional skills contest. Adam was able to score higher than a perfect score because of bonus points for finishing ahead of schedule. The contest requires the contestant to perform lathe and milling projects, manufacturer metal parts to print specifications and complete a written examination during the 8 hour competition. "We are very proud of Adam and his efforts. He has proven that he can compete with accuracy and speed with better than perfect results." Dale Pringle - Tech's Operations Manager. Adam receives Journeyman status in December.
